Not sure If this hospital and a particular Dr are any better than state hospitals
All around utterly useless.
Go somewhere else .
Fantastic
Thank you for your great service!!!!
From ED staff that attended my child Saturday night 3/08/2024 to the sec 10 paeds staff & Dr Li , for taking great care of my child from admission to discharge, thank you so much.
Im changing my Review as we have since had a few very positive experiences with this hospital and the ER in particular. This does not affect that part of the review but its only fair that I update the review from a 1 to 4 stars.

Where to start, My Pregnant Gf who also has an auto-immune disease was feeling bad so I decided to take her to Olivedale thinking it was a good hospital. She was weak, felt like she was going to pass out had no energy. They did the assesment on arrival then we waited 60mins, After that we were moved to a room where we waited another 60 minutes behind a screen. This is probably because they say your waiting time is between 45-60 minutes based on being a yellow level emergency. Then we saw a Dr for the first time after almost 2 hours. My Gf was then admitted after a few tests, This was Thursday evening at around 23h00 after being there since around 19h00.
The next day i was at work, And she had a full panic attack as the Dr that was supposed to see her never showed up. When this happened another Dr did come to see her where we found out she was misdiagnosed with Gastro. The saga unfortuantely continues with tests and Dr’s only showing up when they want to. The original Dr that was supposed to see her still hasnt pitched, Days later. The current Dr’s and staff have been Friendly and helpful. But im afraid the initial experience has left a bad taste. I still feel like there is delays with Tests and Dr’s coming back to you, They leave her for Hours at a time. There should be some sort of consistency with the visiting DR’s. The facility is not in a good state as a Private Hospital. The TV in her room does not work, Luckily the aircon works. Speaking with other patients outside it seems like good luck if the aircon in your room works.
I will be avoiding this facility in the future. My only regret is not taking her to Wilgeheuwel, If i did she might have een home already.
Really hated my experience with Netcare, i definitely would NOT recommend it. I went to the emergency room due to severe abdominal pains. The emergency room doctors were not sure what was causing the issue so they got a specialist (Dr Tariq Mohammed) to attend to me and had to sleep overnight.
They then claimed from my medical aid which covers in hospital visits, however the claim was not paid due to missing information the medical aid needed.
After months of asking them and mostly getting ignored to supply the information to medical aid, I got no assistance.
In the end they said I’m liable for the hospital bill.hated their response time, hated my stay there because I was confused as to what’s going on. Just an overall horrible experience and why I no longer go to Netcare hospitals.
