Oh this facility is useless. I went into trauma and waited for so long. Almost 5 hours to be attended to. They’re more interested in how I’m going to pay. Why would I go to a private hospital if I couldn’t pay? Save yourself the trouble and find another hospital! They’re too quick to bill but service delivery is slow.

Besides being welcomed by a sister who decided to take my iron tablets in her BARE hands and count them ONE by ONE using her BARE fingers, nurses here are AWESOME, DEDICATED, FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, HARDWORKING, EFFECIENT and EFFECTIVE. Sometimes you can tell from the way they walk or the facial expression that they are TIRED and look exhausted but they still PUSH to MAINTAIN the image of the hospital. The Doctors are amazing, especially the ones who personally attended to all my problems. The FOOD team was amazing. The CLEANING team does a good job. The entire hospital is squickly clean. You can tell that their job is hard and demanding but they push through. I hope every stakeholder and the hospital community is being from time to time PRAISED and APPRECIATED because they are doing very well. I just think that people here are being OVERWORKED or maybe the hospital is UNDERSTAFFED. ALL in ALL well done guys.

Good evening,

I have laid a complaint with hellopeter because it was the most traumatizing experience I have ever had.

On the 6th of June 2024 @06:10 I was rushed to Chatsmed Hospital with an ambulance. When we reached the hospital they took me straight to the trauma ward, while I was waiting they told me I needed to pay cash before I got any treatment because apparently my medical aid would not cover trauma so I paid the cash. The doctor prescribed some meds for me in the I.V for nurse give which resulted in me vomiting continously, that was four drips within 15 minutes. The hospital then proceeded to tell me that in order for me to get admitted I would need my Gp to book the room and give me a referral letter. I followed the process and got a referral from my gp to see Dr Morgan Naidoo(Specialist). That doctor was ready to take me in but the hospital itself was making things very difficult. When I got back to the hospital with my referral letter, they told me there’s no beds at all and I must come back bearing in mind I was in alot of pain. I told myself I will wait it off and try again the following day. On the 7th June 2024, I called the hospital Dr Morgan Naidoo’s rooms, the receptionist Kai said there’s a bed booked and ready for me, so I left home and went straight to the hospital. When I got there the main receptionist at the bottom area told us that there’s still no beds available, I must go home and they will call us. The lack of communication is Terrible. Instead of going home I went back to my Gp and begged him to refer me to another doctor at another hospital because the care and treatment I was receiving from the staff of chatsmed was beyond pathetic.

I will never recommend anyone to go to this hospital!
