It felt like I was at a provincial hospital. I gave birth there and everything was smooth sailing until after I gave birth. I asked the nurses to call me when they’re about to wash my baby so that I can learn how to. They told me to go ask the nurse at the receptionist for my netcare baby bag as it had all the necessary items to wash my baby as I had not packed everything. I went to the reception and I waited 30+ minutes because both nurses were sleeping. When I went back to where my baby was held they told me “we thought you’re not coming back because of how long you were taking so we just washed him”. (I only received my bag 2 hours later). That was just one incident during my stay there… there’s many more! Worst private hospital ever!
Honestly the worst place to take your loved ones. No empathy at all. THEY DON’T CARE! I’ve never been met with such a disappointing level of care. We should not be reminding workers of the oath they took. Such incompetence at a private health institution?! Disgusting!
I was referred by my doctor to do a lung xray using my dischem Health insurance policy on Friday the 16th of February but the receptionist denied me saying they do not take that policy so he told me to bring cash. I called my policy and advised them about my predicament but the consultant requested to speak to the receptionist but he still refused and told me to bring cash of R700. I left since I had no cash on me. The following day, after organizing the cash that they required, I went back but the receptionist told me that he can not take cash since it’s Saturday. He can only take swipe. I persisted that I needed this xray like yesterday but he said it was not his fault. So when I was about to leave that’s when he said I am only helping you today.. I found this behavior both unprofessional and rude. His name is Gabriel
How sad that a “new” hospital doesn’t understand the importance of hygiene!
