Wow!!!! So much for having medical aid and going to a private hospital. Apart from the bad service and no passion to assist patients in pain, they just don’t care.
My husband was brought in by Ambulance, after an accident. The Dr. Did not do a full exam… its a head injury, blood running from a deep cut in his head.
Give or take 45 minutes to administer pain meds… 2 + hours to stitch him up. Waited for 5 hours for CT results…. my husbands wounds was so badly dressed.
7 hours in hospital ER with nurses giving you attitude or just ignoring you.
Took the dokter 5 hour before she listened to the concern of my husbands BP that was 179/110 most of the 5 hours and he and she did not bother.
Only after I insisted they attempted to do…. nothing….
A total waste of time… 6hours in an ED for CT results and then the Night nurse will get all cocky and disrespectful and yes I did get your name….
I had to clean my husbands wound at home and redress it. And I had to get his BP under control….
Thats why everyone goes to JhB cause the service is so bad.

The Emergency receptionist is friendly and professional, but the emergency room doctor, and nurses… It’s shocking. We had to wait for several hours for my mom to get some attention. There were many more people waiting for some medical attention at all. I even overheard one doctor tell patients to get up and vacate their beds in an disrespectful manner, and with apartheid-kind of tone. They don’t seem to care about the welfare of patients they receive there—generally speaking. In short, they just want your money and then send you away as soon as those with better medical aid schemes coming knocking on their doorstep.
I was not hospitalised but my son was. He has diabetes and booked in for DKA at ICU.
However I know this Hospital very well, that is from foundation till now.
I would just like to thank everyone who looked after my mom for their exemplary service. Everyone was caring and helpful. Thank you again.
Maternity ward not professional at all more like a party at night the elder nurses need to address the younger one’s on the noise we didn’t sleep well the one was laughing beyond her voice thinking this is her house, you ring the bell they take 25 or 30 minutes to come and they at the front desk chatting laughing and joking no respect at all management please up your professional skills this is madness .
