Care Reflections

Patients admire the friendly security and some staff members who show dedication and concern, like the readiness of nurses to assist and the visible improvements in patient care. While waiting times and some staff behaviors might benefit from further refinement, the helpfulness of certain individuals shines through in crisis situations. Continued focus on improving communication and wait times could enhance patient experience further.

Poorly managed centre, not sure if this is really a primary healthcare centre or death-induced waiting area – definitely no dignity there . The nursing staff arrogantly communicate with patients, i guess the word “patient” has no meaning to them – high-blood and high sugar level patients are made to wait whole and without food – you are luck if you are made to have less than 3times return to home before you are really attended. Patients files get lost, and at best, patients are made to look for their own files in the clinic – absolute disaster and human right abuse. I wonder if the MMC, MEC and Minister of Health are aware of this situation

My daughter went to the Clinic to open a file in the afternoon a month ago. The nurses stated that they do not open files in the afternoon and we should come back in the morning to open the file. We should stand in the queue early though, because they only open 10 files per day, so if you are number 11, you will not be helped. My daughter then asked if she goes in labor if the clinic would help if there is no file and they said yes.

Today, my daughter went to Tlhabane Clinic for assistance and the nurses started screaming at her saying they will never say this and she should come back as they are closed.

She is pregnant and at her last, but the nurses treat her like she means nothing. I will take this further and tell everyone I can about the nurses and how they treat people.

When my daughter phoned me, the nurses started to record her.

This is totally unexceptional and people cannot be treated like this!!

Not impressed at all. ..clinic always full to capacity almost daily. Pregnant women standing outside in the queue for hours and hours, with no chairs before getting inside. Upon getting inside in the steel chairs, nurses take forever to attend to them. Funny part is on their wall it’s written “estimated waiting time is 2 hours” but you’ll wait more than those 2 hours. Around 10/11 am they’re just lazing around going up a down the corridors while you’re seated on those cold steel uncomfortably chairs. So not a good and friendly environment at all..

Language wise geez!!! If you don’t know seTswana you’re in trouble 🚮🚮🚮
