Receptionists can be a little abit more friendly. I called in and asked a question but was so not helpful. Left me so put off because the doctors are really good.

Susan De Lange's Review

I was referred to Dr Albrecht by a friend. He is all she said but sadly his practice is brought down by the ladies at reception!

As a first time patient, I wasn’t greeted by a friendly face. They hardly look up and it feels like you are a inconvenience in their day.

I was not given a prescription but instead was told it would be sent to the service provider and will be contacted by them. After 3 days of no contact, I phone to enquire. Again they were rude and unhelpful and just said they sent the prescription. They suggested I contact the service provider. When I asked if it will not be better if they follow up, I was told it is not their job.

I contacted the service provider and they said they didn’t received the prescription but offered to call the doctors office. They phoned back to say they will send the prescription again.

After not hearing anything I contacted the service provider after 3 days. They again confirmed no prescription from the doctor yet. This was now a week since my appointment 🙃

I phone the doctors office again. I insisted that the email me the prescription which they did under protest… which I then forwarded to the service provider. They had a 48 hour fulfillment policy, so I received my medication 11 days after my doctor’s appointment! This could have been so much easier if I received the prescription in the first place and the unprofessional receptionist were not involved!

I was also sent for blood tests. Lancet told me that the results will be sent to the doctor within 48 hours. He will receive an sms and the report will be emailed to him. I took the test on a Saturday morning. After 3 calls to the doctors office, I eventually fetched the report from Lancet on Thurday and then made an appointment to see the doctor to discuss the results.

On the Monday my appointment was for 11h30. I again had to complete a form which required the same personal and medical details which I provided on my first visit. When I enquire on that, I got a rude answer that it was the process, they didn’t capture the information on the first visit. I waited an hour before I saw the doctor. There was no feedback while you waited, no apology that he is running late, you just had to wait… in a time where most people earn by the hour, this is unacceptable!

To my horror I was charged again… where I felt I was not helped in the first place and this was discussing the results of the tests, it should not be a seperate charge!

In a time where we are spoiled for choices, I would think that you would strive to deliver a good service but sadly these girls are letting the practice down, hence my one star…

Hailey Good's Review

June 28, 2021

I am disgusted with the “professionalism” received today.

Firstly, the Receptionists are extremely rude. I tried to call the doctors rooms this morning at 8, from 8 until 9 i was unable to get through.

This already causes frustration because with Covid you are never sure if you can just walk in, and me travelling a slight distance to get there thought it would be best to just keep trying.

At 9:30 i eventually go through and managed to get a booking at 10:45.

I arrived at the reception where i checked in and was told to please wait in the car as i will be called on the intercom when the doctor is ready to see me.

After 20 mins of waiting after my initial booking time, i went to find out how many patients where in front of me as i stared to feel worse just sitting in the car.

i mentioned to the receptionist that i had been waiting 20 mins already..

She turned to me and said i was lucky, 20 mins is nothing, she has had patients waiting for an hour already – Firstly as a sick patient no one wants to be spoken to like that.

No apology, just straight attitude.

I then went back to the car to wait until that “hour” was up, i then went back in to see how many patients were still waiting to be assisted before me.

At this point my BF came with me as i was slightly emotional after the first encounter with the receptionist.

She then told us i had two patients in front of me, at this point i had been sitting in a car, struggling with nausea and body pain. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH at this point.

I asked why they cant inform us that the doctor is running late when we book the appointment, that way we can prevent these frustrations – Both Receptionists then said its not their job to do so, its the doctors job.

DR Jardim, I am so sorry that these two ladies are the one’s who are effecting your patient base.

THATS NOT ALL

After 5 min of back and forth, DR Albrecht decided to join in, agreeing that its not their job to inform the patients..

DR Albrecht, its a shame you had to lose your temper with me, you wouldn’t have been included in this at all.

But you “kind” Sir, are also just to blame for the terrible environment us patients have to face.

Shouting at patients without even trying to diffuse the situation first – Very professional.

All in all, i didn’t end up going to see the doctor as i was extremely upset and couldn’t be bothered to be treated that way.

IF I TOLERATED STUFF LIKE THIS, I WOULD GO TO A GOV FACILITY.

Disgusting Private Sector behavior.

I will no longer be a patient of Dr Jardim… it really is a shame as he has been my family’s GP for 19 years.
