I’m a good client as some sisters even reckonise me… But I have no Intention of returning here again… Very sad and unfortunate… Indeed…

Something happened I’m in extreme pain.. But pain management is not on par with other hospitals… I’m in pain… Will explain if someone gives me a call. I’m 52 and in tears due to the pain… But nothing can be done.. Sad very sad that I’m made to suffer I must wait an hour more for an injection

Phillip Kleynhans's Review

I had a very unpleasant experience at this hospital. I was admitted at ward 1E. The 1st night went fairly well. The next day I had my procedure done with Dr. Jeske. Unfortunately, thereafter my nightmare begun. Back at ward 1E, the nurses changed shifts. This was a Friday night. I had developed an infection and was in a lot of pain. That whole night there were only one regular check-in done by the nurse on duty. I have had to press the alert button more than three times to get a sleeping tablet and some pain meds. Just to get told the last time that it’s after 00h00 and that she may not give me a sleeping tablet. The next day the new nurse were shocked how my vitals were looking. The blood in my drip had gone dry because of nothing flowing through it. I then developed breathing issues caused by the infection. My wife insisted that they call the Dr to inform him. The nurse firstly refused but after raising the issue to the ward sister, they called the Dr and I were rushed to High Care. In High Care you won’t get any sleep. At night the nurses are so loud. They have no respect for anyone and will slam doors and scream in the middle of the night. They always complain about the workload and are always telling you how they can’t wait to go home as the hospital wifi is not working. There were also talks about 5 nurses that resigned in the same week. The nurse on my last night there was eating a bag of chips opposite my bed and were updating his phone on the hospital wifi the whole night. This is so unprofessional. Thereafter, I was moved to ward 2A. This is a well runned ward. I can applaud all the nurses there. They really looked after me well. I suggest this hospital take a serious look at ward 1E. That being said, this hospital will not see me again soon.
