4 years ago I rated this hospital an easy 4 stars. Today I’m editing this review, stay far away from this hospital they are going down the drain, as a local that have visited this hospital MANY times over the last 15 years I am a direct witness of it’s decline. Staff act like those you find in a state hospital they DO NOT care ONE BIT anymore. The doctors are careless, the service is terrible. Steer CLEAR.

unprofessional behavior of the night shift staff at Sunward Park Hospital, specifically at the reception of the paediatrician ward.On 21 June 2024, I arrived at the paediatrician ward reception at 8:00 PM on my way home from visiting my son. Unfortunately, I was not attended to promptly. The staff member at the reception, a light-skinned black lady who is petite and appears to be in her late 50s, was engaged in a personal conversation with a friend at the canteen, completely ignored me. Despite my efforts to get her attention, she continued her conversation without acknowledging my presence, I even went to ask the security if is there anyone at reception.After waiting for 20 minutes without any assistance, I had to find a cleaner who ultimately helped me. This level of service is unacceptable and not what I expected from a facility like Sunward Park Hospital. Such behavior is more reminiscent of a public hospital with strained resources, not a professional healthcare institution.I urge you to monitor and address the behavior of your night shift staff to ensure that all patients/visitors receive the attention and care they deserve promptly.

Worst hospital ever, my Father is experiencing chest pains and his pressure was so high, I took him to the hospital at 17:45, 20 to 40 minutes later with the extreme chest pains he was still not taken care of. One of the nurses said to him that they are to busy to take care of him and he must fill out the a form. He went to the front desk and asked for a manager which never pitched up. They have taken his medical aid card but no treatment, so it shows money first and then they take care of you. Now tell me how does this hospital still stand and is allowed to operate. 1 star is no way close to what the hospital deserves. They are very unprofessional and does not know how to take care of people who are suffering of serious health issues. 31/05/2024. Sunward park net care hospital is one of the worst hospitals. Customer care is so bad and they lack a sense of professionalism in a work place. I will be reaching out the the news and it will be broadcast to the public to make sure no one else will go under the same issues as we did.

I was at ER on the 25th of April with my son after a rugby headinjury. The specific night it was very busy.

From walking in at the reception the receptionist Anastasia was very calm and well spoken. She told me that thay are very busy and that there is a 2 hour waiting and I confirmed thats fine and that I will wait. She opened the file quick and effective while again apologising that it is busy. She then send us to triage where Rose took over. Rose also very well spoken and professional talked us through the process and asked the needed questions. She did the triage and send us to the waiting area that was already full.

The whole time we where waiting these two ladies came and talked to all the patients waiting, reassuring us that Dr are busy discharging and he will be with us soon.

I would like to thank them. They stayed calm and communicated very well and effective even though it was busy.

To me communication is key. Anastasia and Rose did a very good job keeping people calm and and informed of the process.
