Can’t compliment the staff enough. From the minute I arrived at 6 in the morning until the next day when I left, the staff were nothing but friendly and efficient (and I include security in this compliment). Most people complain about hospital food… well nothing to complain about here it was superb. I really like the idea of the way you do your day pre-admission in a lounge area so patients go up to the ward only needing to change and then they ready for theatre. Well done Morningside on a brilliant managed hospital.
The worst hospital i have ever visited. I visited South Africa and met with an accident and went there for x-ray of my foot. At first, doctor came to visit me after 2 hours as he was not aware that a patient is waiting for her. After that they did charge R 2990 for X ray and R 1 890 for hospital visiting fee on Sunday.
But the worst part is after 4 months now they are sending me threatening mails that i didn’t clear my bill before leaving the hospital and a bill of R 380 is pending for Limb Cast, which they didn’t use for me. They are sending me mails that my case will be handed over to Attorney.
I haven’t seen any hospital in the World that charges fees after leaving the hospital and that too via attorney.
Atrocious service from the paed ward. My son was admitted to the paed ward for a routine eeg however fell ill with extremely high fever the day he was admitted. The nurses refused to call a paed or even a normal dr to see to him. If I could have taken him to the ER, I would have however he was strapped to the EEG wires and machine and could not move from his bed. The halaal food was disgusting and they never bothered to even warm it up as it was straight from the fridge. The toilets were not working and when advised, they said a technician could only come the next day. Upon discharge, vitals are meant to be taken. The nurse didn’t bother to check his temp or pressure however she had made up the figures and written them down on the discharge form.
