Mamabolo Nthabiseng's Review

June 24, 2024

I wanted to give it a 5 star but will go for 3. I gave birth at Medi-Clinic medforum on the 14th of June. I really didn’t know weather to give a review or not, but because of the awesome services I received from my gyn and the other nurses like Sister mmaphuti in maternity ward I had to. I was admitted on the 13th of June after I had complications. Upon my arrival in maternity ward I was treated by sister mercy, very professional nurse. She assisted me very well explained the process and also made sure I was comfortable throughout given that I was worried due to the complications, A very big Thank you to her. My issues started when sister Mercy Hamisi left and the night nurse had to come in. I honestly wanted to be discharged after sister Portia Lephadi took over. My Gynaecologist asked for me to be monitored until 22:00 so we can start induction, sister portia moved me to the ward from where sister Mercy left me, she didn’t help me move or get in bed given the circumstances. She later came back to tell me she can monitor everything from the receptionist I shouldn’t press the call button to call her. Later on at 22:00 she came to start the induction and when the pain started she told me” how can I give birth natural when I can’t even bare contractions” honestly why do I pay for private services if I’m gonna be treated just the same as public? As if that wasn’t enough, I had to go for c-section and she asked me “ did you shave or you one of those “ I’m very offended by the kind of service she gave me and didn’t expect such from a woman to another woman. She prepared me for operation, went out and I needed some help, pressed the button she came back told me that I’m making noise she is assisting another patient. Tried to explain she left. Well I delivered my baby on the 14 June after a terrible night I had. After the c-section I was met by sister Mmaphuti oh God what a blessing. She was friendly, professional and caring. Thanks to her because she changed my perspective of medforum. Every night sister Katlego would take care of me as if I was family then in the morning sister mmaphuti would come back I was always looking forward to the morning when Mmaphuti would be back. She really did go an extra mile for me and because of her I will be giving medforum another chance.

Sydney Mhlongo's Review

The hospital is clean, nurses were professional during my stay at the hospital.

One big worry/complain abt the hospital is that the doctor see or visit a patient once a day and very late after lunch.

I think a patient should be checked twice a day, especially in the morning to check how he or her slept and any other medical condition development!
