Life Mount Edgecombe Hospital

Honestly don’t know how much more to thank this hospital but most especially the staff in the paediatric ward ,day and night shift nurses were so so so so amazing with my little one not forgetting her amazing pediatrician Doctor Aq Sayed (highly recommended)..he worked super fast with treatment on my LG ,my heart is over joyed ..the excellent service from all the staff was wonderful..even the cleaners were super friendly and caring

Please give the pediatric ward staff an award ,they handled my baba so well even when she was refusing her medication they were so gentle and patient with her ,I totally adore and respect each and every nurse in that ward and reception marlini (not sure if that’s her name) she was so understanding and patient with us while sorting our medical aid…

God bless them for taking such good care of me and my child

I have no words to express about the absolute unethical treatment that we received not only from the stuff but the much acclaimed doctors themselves. My dad was admitted last year Nov 2023 his severely diabetic and has cellulitis they amputated my dad toe and the family was not fully aware of what the doctors was doing as they had no communication with us. He then kept getting treated by the same surgeons a month ago his leg started swelling he had gotten admitted and the doctor advised nothing is wrong and sent him home. A week ago we took my dad for a 2nd opinion to another hospital and they admitted him for tests. Only to find out that Mount edgcombe left a piece of bone in his leg that was getting rotten and turning his leg black. If we had’nt taken my dad for a 2nd opinion to be sure he would’ve died in two months his leg would’ve started to decompose. I advise anyone who loves they family to not risk your lives and go to such an unethical hospital. We will be taking this up legally as well. This review is to try and save many lives as we can.

I was admitted on the 06th March 2024 for a procedure which turned out to be an emergency Op after they saw what was happening inside me. I have to say this hospital is one of the worse I have ever been admitted in. I was in such a hurry to get home after a 1 night stay. As a patient I was treated with such disrespect and my drip even came off through the night, the night nurses didn’t even try to attend to me, I had complained about the drip and. The nurse told me she would come help me…. But then never returned. I complained to the sister in charge in the morning… And the nurse said she had forgotten about me…. And she needed to use the toilet that’s her reason for not attending to me the entire night. Even after I had rated the hospital through their own survey, I have not gotten any feedback.

Can you please give Dr Gasa a promotion because he deserves it.The entire maternity staff was incredible. The theatre staff all of them made my birthing experience easy but Dr Gasa he was talking to me the entire time keeping me calm and making me laugh he truly deserves to be recognised for that. The cleaning staff also kept my room clean and they were very helpful. The only negative thing is the food portion size 😩 it’s the worst I have ever had. It’s way to SMALL I had to buy kfc and McDonald during my entire stay which was very unhealthy
