Ansie Van Zyl's Review

February 26, 2024

was admitted 30 January 2024 with severe gastro,in the day ward,Dr Wessels did refer me to a Dr,Siphole who started me on anti-biotics intervenus and some i had to take oral,Dr Siphole ordered blood tests which revealed a virus count of300+,the oral anti-biotics dryed out all my mucus membranes, also had no syliva, making eating impossable, everything turned gooy in my mouth, can not fault the nursing staff, very friendly and caring, the toilets were in the passage, there was not a single disabled toilet,i did take my cronic medication,my Aspavor for colesterol,Eltroxin for my thyroid, they never gave it to me,meanwhile blood test was done daily, virus count came down to only 15,but gastro never stopped,my stools and urine was a ugly orange color.Came Monday5 February,i asked to be released,in the week i was in hospital every time i asked Dr Siphole he said virus unidentified,he was happy to release me with much lower virus count, regardless i still had gastro, over the weekend we were mooved to medical ward 1,not much of an improovement, still no disabled toilets, still in the passage,in medical1 we could get icewater for rhe first time, must say the nurses bathed me every evening, rubbed me in with body lotion, the adjustable beds were very comfy. On my release they handed me all the lab results,so i went home still same symptoms, severe gastro.oh and both my feet were swolen like baloons,my hope is to never end up there again, stay away if at all posable.Tuesday morning out if hospital i went back to colsulting rooms determined to see Dr Dirkie, even if i had to soil myself and the consulting rooms, being the excellent doctor she is,immediatly identified the virusses from lab reports as the 2 small brothers of samonella, also the lab reports indicated what these virusses was sensitive to,i could leave her with a script with the correct anti-biotics,by Wednesday the gasto had stopped, she gave me clear instructions to stay clear off fresh produce i finnished the anti-biotics and happy to say i am healed, with the correct medication at home, cause my doctor can read and understand lab reports Dr Siphole could not
