It does not deserve a star – Do NOT take any loved one or family member to this place. The staff has absolutely now compassion and all should be fired, and the place should be closed down and CANNOT be called a hospital. The worst government hospital I have ever experienced. My brother was send there a while back, and I finally I had the guts to post this review. He was there for 5 days, received no doctor’s check-up for the pain he was in. For 5 days they did not feed him or give him even a drop of water and when I finally managed to send someone to go fetch him, he was so weak and had to be carried out of there at the NICK of time!!! Unfortunately I was not living in Gauteng and could not go pick him up myself. If I waited one more day he would have been dead. There was NO record of him even being there when the other doctors treated him after this horrific experience and they tried to follow up to see what tests were done and what they did. He was send home without his clothes, all stuffed in a plastic bag, and the people that fetched him, had to cover him with a blanket. What freekin dignity does the staff have , none!!!! this is evil there is no excuse. He was so malnutritioned and very weak, it took him weeks to recover from this ordeal in this Laratong nightmare. I do not recommend anyone to be taken there under no circumstances.

This is a special thank you to the midwives and Dr Sheila Nyandiko and Dr Mazhindu in ward 11 and 12. I am a private midwife and had to make 2 emergency transfers in the week for patients who needed hospitalization. Thank you for your excellent care and for going the extra mile. May God bless your work and your hands in everything you do
