Far East Rand Hospital – Maternity Ward

This is not a hospital and these are not medical staff. It is a place you go to lay and die in the most disgusting conditions. The staff do not care at all about anything but their tea time. The doctors could not care less about the streams of people laying in the corridors, some we even assume are deceased. The so called staff do not even assist patients go to the facilities. I have never seen something so disgusting. It should be closed and all staff arrested for abuse of people’s basic human rights. Far eastrand hospital, you are a complete disgrace.

I was at the hospital on the 28 June 2024 to give birth it was the worst experience I have ever come across besides the nurses telling me I give birth a lot it’s my 4th child I should stop giving birth the night shift staff was horrible the lady who was supposed to assist me during labor had no name tag she sweard at me the whole entire process she was even hitting me and the one that hit me the most for me to write here she said because of my status I must not be moving too much or else I’m gonna infect her and I had sores all over my body she said why are you like this I told her it’s fungal infection she you people you come here with funny things you want to make us sick and I was shaking I felt cold she said wats wrong with you (unamahorince)are you an alcoholic I told her I’m cold but she just kept on swearing at me and I kept quiet because I was scared for my life and my baby life as I don’t know why she was that angry

I’d like to thank every stuff member that made sure I have comfortable stay at the hospital especially nurse Sanele from labor ward he made sure I was okay through out, I had emergency c section and the guys from theater were friendly and made sure I’m calm and comfortable, the nurses at post natal ward are the best as well. The food was good, the hospital is clean, unfortunately there’s no hot water so we couldn’t shower but my overall experience was good.big up to Far Eastrand hospital
