I wish I was able to give a 0 star rating😡 what a fool of a nurse you have there that is called Alice, she is rude very rude
This lady kicked me out of the clinic as a pregnant lady told me to go attend a clinic that is near to me whilst that clinic is Kemston clinic, talked to me like I was a fool in front of other patients
When I tell her I’m sick she would shout at me whenever I share my pregnancy problems with her she would shout and didn’t give me pills, she only gave me pregnancy pills and 3 antibiotics pills whereas I told her I had infection and I also had flue so it means that these 3 antibiotic pills had to heal all the sickness I had. Wow! Lady I yes you! I’m still gonna take this further trust me!
Long waiting hours & rude staff.
I am appalled and angered by the service at this clinic, although it shouldn’t even be called service.
1. I was waiting at the gate in line with a few other early birds waiting for the 7:30 they claim to open, but that’s also nonsense because they actually decide to interact(not help) interact with us at 8.
2. The security guard hands people papers with numbers on, I was 34. But guess what, those papers are just for ambience and pretending to be organised because they were never used or useful to determine people’s place in the lines.
3. Because I was a new patient and had to open a new folder, myself and a few others were told to sit by reception to capture this info then join the others – guess what again, there’s no keeping by our place in the line and, when you try to speak to nurses there, it’s almost as if you are bothering them on their day off.
4. Nurses are rude and not willing to help or even hear your inquiry, instead people are belittled and made to feel apathetic – young and old – especially the man in the room patients take their blood pressure, who complained and shouted at me when I tried to find this supposed new file that was made since I saw everyone who I had been in line with in the morning had been attended to.
5. Ater myself and my partner had to physically go up and down to locate this file because no one was willing to help and always ready to chase us out to be someone else’s problem.
6. After having the file located and in my possession thinking the worst was over, we went to the section where the people I was in line with had been called, so naturally I’m supposed to be with them – only for the nurse, Thembelihle or Thato was her name if I’m not mistaken, to be the amalgamation of all the attitude, belittlement and rudeness I already had experienced in the waiting room because at this point I believe it’s the culture of this place since not one person was useful.
7. Despite my attempt to explain my situation and why I’m in her office, she repeatedly told me to leave and that she budgeted 2 patients before her lunch and refuses to see me. She continued to speak over me and make me feel like a child, both my partner and I were also losing patience. I then asked her is this the Nurses oath she took when she decided to do this job? I had to remind her that a conversation is a 2-way street and she’s talking at me rather than to me. She continuously repeated that “why me?! I’m not the only nurse here!”
8. After the back and forth, she told me to take the file back where I found it and she’ll take it herself, which at this point I was prepared to leave and be sick elsewhere, only for her to follow me and redo vital checks that already were done and chase my partner out of the room, then passively asked me my symptoms which she barely gave any attention to or even checked my claims (throat ears and eyes etc ) like I’m used to by actual professionals that care to do their jobs.
I was sent off with antibiotics and paracetamol but nothing for everything else I had mentioned.
I am so appalled by this service or lack thereof. If you ever needed a reminder to work hard and get private healthcare, this was it in capital letters. Pathetic and disgraceful clinic. And to think so many elderly people were being given the run around and spoken to like they were less-than.
If you’re not there to serve people close your doors because this place is a violation of basic human rights.
The 5 star goes to the Head of the Clinic, i didn’t get her name but i take off my hat for that lady. When you’re a leader, you lead by example and that’s exactly what she did. I was at the clinic since nine-ish till 16:30… I was the last patient to leave the clinic all because of one sister that is incompetent, thinks soo highly of her self, talks to patients as if we are her kids, locks her in the room while patients are waiting, takes 45 minutes to attend to one patient and that lady is sister Alice! I don’t understand why take a job that requires you to heal people when all you do is break them emotionally and mentally! I work with people and I know the very basic principles when it comes to working with people young as I am, but she is the worst! The lady that oversees the stuff has to get off from her sit to assist us, and within 3 hours she was able to assist almost 30 or more patients if I am not mistaken. She didn’t come in there and reprimanded nurses like Alice to work, instead she went in and started working! I pray for abundant blessings for this lady, and I hope the Department of Health recognises her amazing leadership and work ethic! As for sister Alice, every patient was complaining about her! If you no longer want to work sisi please say and stop treating people like they are your puppets or you own them. Kindness will not take a single cent from your pocket nor will it kill! Be kind, even if you don’t smile ke but don’t treat people as if they are animals!
