PRC Recovery Centre

I walked in PRC. With no self-esteem and no self-worth with no confidence what so ever but today I can look in the mirror and be proud of what I see on the other side.Thank you for helping me find myself again

When I arrived at Pace Recovery Centre, it really wasn’t by choice. I was completely hopeless having been to various other treatment centers over the past decade, I believed I was beyond help and there was nothing Pace could offer me or teach me that I hadn’t already learnt about recovery… I was wrong, at some point I gave up fighting and decided not to hide behind the masks I had become so accustomed to, I was shown, by example that Pace is a safe place where I could truly be open and honest without judgement or rejection… I was told in my first week “We will love you until you learn to love yourself and then we will love you even still” words I had heard many times before… I was the type of addict that was also seeking for proof, proof of addiction, proof of destruction and eventually proof that recovery is possible and that it is worth it. I found it here at PRC recovery Centre, finally people who don’t just talk… they live it. I finally found a place where I could be me, all of me the good the bad and the ugly, when the dark days came… and they came, fighting for my life wasn’t always sunshine and roses, but on those days, Pace shone the Light for me.

My time at Pace has been eye-opening and life changing. I arrived with little to no self esteem or self worth and was ready to give up. I am now in a much better and happier place thanks to working the program with the staff and fellow addicts.

Before going to Pace, I never thought there were people experiencing the same daily struggles that I had been having for many years. The staff & clients @ PRC welcomed me with open arms, & had no judgement about my troubles past or present. Even after I made a mistake, they still never gave up on me. PRC & the program gave me the keys to unlock a clean & sober way of living going forward. The time I spent there has had an enormous impact on the way I now approach even the smallest aspects of my daily doings. I will never be able to express how much the staff, coaches & even the clients I met on my journey have meant to me. PRC changed my life.

Coming To PRC felt like coming home. I came to a place were I truly felt understood for the first time. Here I could admit my flaws without being judged. By being embraced, cared for and understood it helped me embrace who I am, to understand my self and start caring for myself. There is unity and fellowship in PCR and knowing that I will never stand alone again is powerful. Living at PRC has changed my life, it has given me the fulfillment, structure and routine. PRC is the steppingstone to the rest of my life.
