These nurses were wonderful and welcoming and helpful. In casualty Londeka mzizi was wonderful and truly helpful and Fiona baloyi section 4(neurological ward) also in the same ward was Josephine maenetja (aka manager) made my father feel absolutely welcomed. The facility was great and cleaned well. My father was impressed with everything, my mother wasn’t impressed with the lack of communication from the doctors unfortunately but C’est la vie.
The worst experience ever for a private hospital. First visit – Waiting period for triage was 2 hours, another hour to see the doctor. No explanation on the delays. Receptionists are unbothered and take their sweet time to attend to patients while having personal conversations! Absolutely unprofessional.
Second visit – left without being attended to after 4 hours. There was a lady with an injury that was put on a drip to manage her pain. After hours of waiting to see the doctor,: she asked for the drip to be removed and also left without seeing a doctor.
Really shocking service for such an esteemed private hospital!
Terrible experience before a procedure, staff at reception were not helpful and unapologetic, if anything arrogant when there was a mix up. I was left waiting at reception unbeknown to anyone until I had to follow up myself. Section 3 and section 6 staff and nurses are not what you would expect from a hospital in the Netcare group, they do not care and show no professionalism. Theatre staff, nurses and doctors were great. Nevertheless, I would never ever recommend nor use Milpark hospital again. In addition, the facilities, rooms, beds etc are very old and very shabby. Even shared
My room with an unconventional guest…a big fat cockroach. Dirty pillow covers, looks like dried blood on floors. Does not feel or look like private care at all. Pictures attached.
