Absolutely terrible experience:
– Facilities are rundown and filthy.
– Paid R600 for consultation and medicine.
– Neither the name nor the qualifications of the doctor on duty was on display.
– The doctor could not speak fluent English.
– The doctor was unfriendly and cold.
– At no point during the examination did the doctor use gloves, wash, or sanitize her hands.
– The doctor’s conclusion from the investigation was to say that we should simply carry on taking the medication we were already taking.
– Upon requesting an injection, we were told to go to a pharmacy to purchase a certain medication as it was out of stock, and to bring it back to the surgery for injection. This despite the medication supposedly being covered by the fee paid upfront.
Even as a last resort, rather wait for another surgery to open rather than wasting your time and money going to this surgery.
I went to med24 at midnight and I had ulcers I was so much in pain 😩 and Dr Ben help me he was so kind and helpful, he even made a joke I should stop 🫸 drinking too much alcohol.
