Medicross Roodepoort Medical and Dental Centre

Not complaining re the Doctors, however i was at the practice on a Sunday and knew that i had to pay the extra 300 fee charged on a Sunday, but not aware that i had to pay the consultation fee as well due to miss information by the lady at front desk. She wrote down the changes of the different medical schemes and was not sure herself what she had written down (asked the ladies around her and they too were not sure about any changes). I was told that my medical aid and plan has changed and is now seen as a hospital plan, and does not cover consultations etc any longer. We contacted the medical aid in the AM and they assured us this is not the case…. they reviewed the Dr i visited and said he was not part of their Network. If i had known this i would have asked to see the Dr we usually see who was available on the day, however the lady assigned another Dr to me. I did not mind paying the fee, however i would have preferred if they had their facts in order as the information caused a panic and upset us as were were not informed by our medical aid about the supposed changes.

Fast friendly and efficient

I will be referring my complaint to the practice manager, but please beware when coming here on a Sunday. The nurses are rude, refuse to disclose their names, the details of the medication they are administering, and do not follow proper safety procedures. As a sick patient, I am sitting here and they are refusing to help going against their Hippocratic Oath. Individuals like these should not be allowed to treat patients.

Nurses blatantly refused to offer medical treatment. William and Cynthia at the moment. Health professional council complaint will follow.
