I’m very disappointed by lack of professionalism of the nursing staff at Life Flora Hospital. They made so much noise at the nursing station, it seemed more like I was in a bar full of drankards than a hospital ward. The rooms are not properly cleaned, dont even think about the bathrooms l could not bath nor shower in them.

Uncaring and disrespectful sums it up. My husband spent 5 days in hospital. No final report was provided despite numerous specialists seeing him. He was not mobile and was not bathed until his last day when I complained to the neurologist. He was given medicine to take him with no explanation of what they were for or the potential side effects. Not a patient centric experience.

A perfect example of “if it’s broken let’s see how we can make it worse” my father was admitted 2 weeks ago on the 31st of May due to dizziness and him at falling and being unresponsive, he was discharged con the following Tuesday, he spent 4 nights at the hospital 2 nights where the nurses left him to sleep in his own number 2 as they didn’t clean him properly with my mother using having to clean him herself and asking the nurses that night and the following day. Still took another 24 hours.

Best part though is that he went into the hospital able to walk and dress himself. For the last week he barely had the strength to walk or even stand without help, he needs help just to sit up. Overall not a caring experience. He needs further care and healing but won’t go there and we don’t want to take him either.

I have not been treated well by the nurses in this ward, femina ward to be exact, disrespected and shouted at… Patients come with their own challenges and trauma. Kindness and respect would be highly appreciated.
