Best Clicks I have been to, Antoinette the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and helpful, the cashiers are always happy and friendly. Even the security have manners and greet every customer that walks in. Well stocked, can be busy at times. Otherwise very spacious.

Really the worst place to go if you are dealing with prescriptions especially mailed prescriptions. Staff are NOT helpful, manager has no idea whats going on either. Really wouldnt suggest this branch they treat patients like criminals and will sooner let you go without medicine than attempt to find a resolution to their silly inefficient systems. Who even has a ticketing system with a touchscreen during covid, wake up.

The past weekend I have had a terrible experience at Clicks, Seaside Village. I have a 6 month prescription and after picking up my fourth prescription (therefore having 2 more left) I was told it would be my last.

The past 3 months, the pharmacy made a mistake giving me double what I was supposed to get, each time presenting to me another brand. I did not ask questions as I trust that the prescription given to me is what I need to take for the month ahead, especially considering they did not give me the same brand of pill each time I went (am I a doctor? NO!). Worst part is the way that Karen van der Merwe, the manager of the dispensary insinuated that I was supposed to ask questions, telling me that ‘well, did you not see it was 2 months stock?’ – are you KIDDING me?! Above and beyond the fact that

a) no one told me it was for 2 months

b) you have a steel cage in which the pills are being transported to the cashier and I only see it when I get home

c) most importantly, I trust the pharmacy with literally my life, giving me what I need to take a day, for a month long

So where I should have had a half a pill of the original brand prescribed (which by the way received the correct amount from another pharmacy the first time), after suggesting a generic brand (each time I went) giving me 30 tablets, I assume that perhaps these are less strong and took them accordingly, one a day. That is what the packaging says?!

Imagine if these were blood pressure pills or something that could have lead to far more serious outcomes than just a depleted prescription.

They made a mistake and the way she made me feel as though it’s my fault, is an absolute shame.

I am appalled by Karen’s behaviour, covering up the life-threatening mistake this pharmacy made. She continued to insinuate it was my fault after calling my doctor to rectify their mistake. The least you could have done was apologise, Karen.

Well stocked, Covoid friendly, no queues!
