Poor service. They should really not bother with appointments. If you do make one, you will still wait 1.5 hr on average. If you don’t have an appointment, and are in pain or really sick, you will be told the average time is 2 to 3 hrs. Too few doctors who cannot cope with workload, but the centre expects patients to sit for hours and bill med aids. The reception staff will tell you that they don’t know how long you will wait when you eventually enquire after1 hour of sitting after appointment time. They don’t bother to come to update patients at all. Gentleman at reception quite offish and rude. Nurses look tired, I was waiting to be stitched and 2 Nurses fought in front of me who will assist me as both argued with each other that they were both busy. On another occasion, a nurse in my presence told a patient who waited hours, to take off his baseball cap, it was disrespectful to her.
BAD ATTITUDE, POOR SERVICE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INEFFICIENT BOOKING. Pity , a few years ago doctors and staff under the Medicross group, service was professional.
Pathetic service!
Visited the Springs Medi cross on a Sunday unfortunately my child needed to do an Xray then Dr Shaun Peter Da Fonseca suggested we come back Monday he himself even tried calling them to check of they are open but unfortunately the Xray company was closed. He never suggested that we could go to the hospital had we knew that we could we would have went. He then said we will come back tommorow morning for Xray then come back to him. Which is a normal procedure after going for an xray. I then brought my child back Monday morning for the Xray and then went back to the Dr for the results and medication. Everything was done perfectly I have to say. But imagine my shock when I check my medical aid statement and realize I was charged 2 days Sunday and Monday. I called after realizing what I saw on my statement. I explained that it was not two different consultations but 1 consultation as we needed to do the Xray first and then Dr Shaun Fonseca said it was two different consultations and me asking how so because he could not diagnose before he got the Xray results. If maybe it was a follow up I would understand but it was not. So I have to say I’m greatly disappointed in how everything was handled. We trust this Dr’s to be honest but being charged twice for something that was not under your control it’s totally unfair.
