Feedback from the “rolling stones”
I was admitted to Netcare Unitas Hospital for kidney stone treatment, and while it was certainly one of the most challenging experiences I’ve faced, the hospital staff made all the difference. From the moment I arrived at the emergency ward at 3 AM, the staff were incredibly sympathetic, friendly, and patient with a man in pain.
Throughout my stay, the ward sisters were always ready to help, ensuring that we received our medication and check-ups on time. They were attentive and responded promptly whenever we needed assistance. The hospital environment was well-maintained—the beds and linen were clean, and the toilets and floors were cleaned daily.
Even the food exceeded my expectations, which is rare for hospital meals. Overall, I was very pleased with the care and treatment I received at Unitas Hospital. The staff truly made a difficult time much more bearable.
I was admitted due to gastrointestinal problems. An astute gastroenterologist noticed abnormalities in my blood. He ordered a bone marrow test and it indicated leukemia. Don’t know if many other doctors would have bothered to study the results in detail.
An absolutely fantastic hospital. ALL staff was so professional, friendly, polite. Care staff and doctors EXPLAINED everything in detail. A caring atmosphere. The anesthesiologist got the dose so perfect. I woke up, no wooziness at all.
We told to be at admissions at 6am. Did the online pre-admission. Been waiting g for 30 minutes and still no admission clerks at work!
Unitas Hospital is clean and tidy. The emergency unit were very good but staff aren’t friendly and the overall service is lacking. My loved one was there for 2 weeks and they didn’t put on a bed sore mattress for him and they knew of his state. The doctors (Dr Mokotong) don’t come in aren’t consistent with their times, making it very hard for the family to visit while the doctor is doing his rounds. There isn’t even a note or some sort of information left with the nurses. I hope this can be amended in WARD 2A
