Netcare Montana Hospital

Clearly working in a hospital is not for everyone. It is a passion and calling and one that few people posses. If I could I would give them 0 stars. I am very unhappy and I feel like I can’t trust them with the life of my loved ones. I don’t sleep peacefully at night knowing that they are in Montana Hospital. I gave never had this kind of experience in Pretoria East hospital before. Montana hospital is a glorified states hospital. The ICU staff is a bit too chilled and on their phones too much. They do not seem to realize that when a person is lying in ICU it is serious! The parking is a hot mess! The security lady at the back where the hospital staff park their cars talk to people like they are dogs and then has an attitude when you tell her she cant talkto you like you are a dog. She clearly needs an attitude adjustment because she thinks she is the princess of the palace.

We have been here since 6am awaiting a Doctor to see in casualty and he only arrived at 8:20am. Nurses have had a shift changed an continued to check vitals. Its honestly poor management of capacity based on demand. You cannot have one Doctor on shift within the casualty department. Its a private hospital and customer service speed should be your top priority.

By far the worst hospital ever!! The staff is so incompetent they can be working at Checkers! We had a scare with our 3 week old prem that choked on something, came through to the emergency room to get her checked. After completing all forms before looking at her we still waited more than 20 minutes just for someone to come look at her. You guys are shockingly bad at your jobs!!! I honestly hope that you they move this supposed emergency staff to cleaning.

I have had a very bad experience at Montana Hospital previously so was nervous having to take my daughter there for an op. But this time round was totally different. From Paulous at the front desk to Sisters Elizabeth and Hellen at paediatric ward and all the staff in theatre who were outstanding. Dr Paterson is probably the best orthopaedic surgeon in the country and Dr Retief was just as loving and kind. Cannot fault anything or anybody

Absolutely the worst hospital you can go to

I would rather go to a Onderstepoort animal clinic and get better treatment there!!! It took TWO DAYS to get a bed in the ward!!!! One of the nurses did not know how to take blood and stabbed my arm at least 3 times with a massive needle.
