I must give this hospital its flowers. The treatment here beats most of the so called premium hotels. Thank you to all the experts whose efforts go to work here. You gave me two beautiful healthy daughters and I’ll owe you a dent my entire life. Off you ever need a favour, don’t despair. 🥹♥️🙏🏽
Admission took 2.5hrs from arrival to ward. Wards are horrible and cramped and no bathrooms in the ward like other private hospitals. Ward D. Have to use communal toilets and bathrooms. Wards look and feel like public hospitals. Luthuli is much better. What does a person with weak bladder do? This is supposed to be their flagship hospital. And you have to pay for Parking too. Daylight robbery. So many negative reviews.
I have honestly never been more disgusted as well as annoying with a supposedly private hospital. First of all we were at the emergency department from 11:49 till 17:30. The service was extremely delayed due to the fact that they only have one doctor to help patients. Second of all the rooms were not only dirty but we were also asked to leave the room because they wanted to put another patient inside, the equipment such as the drip hook was rusty and then when we asked for a cup to drink water out of the tap because they did not even have filtered water, they gave us a polystyrene cup and the water tasted disgusting! We then had to go for x rays and on our way back had to use the bathroom. We opened the door to one of them and the floor was flooded with what I can only hope was water, it was unsanitary to and unhygienic to say the least! The only good thing about that hospital was the service I received at the coffee shop but they were extremely overpriced! After waiting so long we finally received a prescription and when I got lost I asked one of the cleaning ladies where the pharmacy was and she simply said around the corner, another patient then had to actually give me a proper description on how to get there. When I got to the pharmacy I had to ring the bell for some service and heard how the pharmacist first finished their conversation about about something that was not even work related! When the pharmacist finally came to supposedly help me she took the prescription and said to take a seat, I did so and had to wait even longer to a point where another pharmacist asked me if I’ve been helped and I told her I apparently, she then went to check on how far the lady was and the lady has not even started to get my prescription ready! It was literally only 3 things of which they didn’t even have enough stock of the one thing! If that was not enough it is also the first ever hospital i’ve been to that expects you to pay for parking and the longer you stay there the more you have to pay and then the only reason for you to be there for so long is because the service takes so horrifically long and then to top it all off at the back of the parking ticket they say that they do not take accountability for any stolen vehicles or damaged vehicles so why do you have to pay for parking in the first place if there’s actually no point in it!
I must admit some of the staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming but that was about the only good thing about that hospital!
I’ve seen government hospitals more hygienic, with better service and higher standards than that hospital and that is in facts shocking as well as embarrassing!
I would 100% not recommend going to Westville “private” hospital as we had an awful experience there!
A bit of a mixed Review on this hospital high care is excellent. General wards are terrible and look like a public hospital. They are focusing on expanding rather than maintaining the current wards. The toilets all over the hospital have a terrible smell and it’s quite shocking that it’s steiner hygiene. Nurses in high care are excellent and nurses in the general wards just don’t care.
Excellent
